What's Open, Closed In Pinellas County On Thanksgiving Day 2022

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Pinellas County Government offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, in observance of Thanksgiving.

This includes departments under the Board of County Commissioners, Clerk’s Office, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser and Supervisor of Elections.

County parks and the outdoor areas of the county preserves will be open on Thursday, Nov. 24, and closed on Friday, Nov. 25.

The Parks & Conservation Resources administrative offices will be closed both days, as will Heritage Village, the Brooker Creek Environmental Education Center and the Weedon Island Cultural and Natural History Center.

Fort DeSoto Park and campgrounds, county boat ramps and county beach access areas will be open on both days. Beach and boat ramp parking permits can be purchased online.

Pinellas County Human Services office locations will be closed.

Pinellas County Building Services office locations will be closed, and inspections will not be taking place.

The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will not be in session except for first-appearance advisory hearings and emergency situations.

The Solid Waste Disposal Complex will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24. It will open Friday, Nov. 25, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Household Electronics and Chemical Collection Center (HEC3) will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25. It will open Saturday, Nov. 26, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Solid Waste Administration Building will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25.

The offices and adoption center at Pinellas County Animal Services will be closed.

Normal county operating hours will resume on Monday, Nov. 28.

Treasure Island

City of Treasure Island offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25.

Wednesday's yard waste collection will be Tuesday, Nov. 22.

Thursday's trash collection will be Wednesday, Nov. 23.

There will be no trash collection on Friday, Nov. 25.

Thursday's residential recycling route will be collected on Friday, Nov. 25.

Friday's route will be collected on Saturday, Nov. 26.

Thursday's Conex multi-family recycling collection will be Friday, Nov. 25.

The Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis facility will be closed on Nov. 24 and will close at 5 p.m. on Nov. 25.

Clearwater

Clearwater government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The Beach Library will be closed and all other Clearwater libraries will close at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

All Clearwater libraries will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, for Thanksgiving. Current hours will resume on Saturday, Nov. 26.

There will be no solid waste collections on Thursday. Thursday's collections will be made on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Solid waste will reopen on Friday.

Dunedin

All city facilities will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, in observance of Thanksgiving.

Residential curbside solid waste and recycling services will be suspended on Thursday.

Thursday collections will take place one day later on Friday. Friday collections will take place one day later on Saturday.

The Dunedin Community Center will be open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The Hale Senior Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

All recreation centers will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Largo

All city facilities will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Largo Golf Course will close early on Thursday and will be open during regular hours on Friday.

There will be no garbage or recycling services on Thanksgiving Day. All services will resume their normal collection days next week.

Fred Howard Park will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Safety Harbor

The Safety Harbor Library will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, and remain closed on Thursday and Friday.

Normal operating hours will resume on Saturday, Nov. 26.

In addition to these closures, some facilities will have modified hours on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

The Community Center will close at 6 p.m.

Thursday's recycling collection will be suspended this week.

Friday's recycling will be collected as usual.

There are two recycling drop-off locations available for residential drop-off:

• Public Works, 1200 Railroad Ave.
• Fire Station 53, 3095 McMullen Booth Road

Pinellas Park

The following recreation centers will be closed on Thursday and Friday:

• Forbes Recreation Center
• Broderick Recreation Center
• Youth Park Recreation Center & Senior Center

The Barbara S. Ponce Public Library will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 23.

All city government offices, the Barbara S. Ponce Public Library and the brush site will be closed on Thanksgiving and there will not be any trash collection on Thanksgiving Day.

City offices and the library will also be closed on Friday.

St. Pete Beach

All St. Pete Beach city offices and the community center will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The St. Pete Beach Public Library will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, and will reopen for regular hours on Monday, Nov. 28.

The Freebee service will not be running on Thursday.

Madeira Beach

If you typically get garbage pick-up on Thursdays, your garbage will be picked up Wednesday.

There will be no trash pick-up Thursday.

City of Madeira Beach government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.
