CLEARWATER, FL — The power of women was evident Wednesday when women volunteers came together to complete the construction of a home in Clearwater for a single mother of two.
Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties' 2022-23 Women Build group, Hammers & Heels, converged on 1125 Tangerine St., Clearwater, to put the finishing touches on a home for a family in need in honor of Women's History Month.
Since 1991, Women Build volunteers from all walks of life have come together to build homes for Habitat for Humanity. Volunteers, working under the guidance of construction professionals, were joined by new homeowner Erica Baker, who said she has been looking forward to this day for a long time.
