Wrong-Way Driver On U.S. 19 Crashes Into 2 Other Vehicles

Two people were taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Tuesday morning after a wrong-way driver crashed into two vehicles on U.S. 19.

CLEARWATER, FL — Two people were taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Tuesday morning after a wrong-way driver crashed into two vehicles on U.S. 19 in Clearwater.

The crash occurred about 3:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of U.S. 19 near Druid Road when a northbound car traveling in the wrong direction hit another car head on. A third vehicle was also involved after the initial impact.

The wrong-way driver and the driver of the first car struck were hospitalized.
