Gator Chases Golf Cart In South FL, Lunges At Driver: Reports
An angry gator was recently caught on video chasing after a golf cart in South Florida and lunging at the driver, reports said.
AVE MARIA, FL — An angry gator was recently caught on video chasing after a golf cart in South Florida and lunging at the driver, according to multiple reports.
The video of the Feb. 16 attack, filmed by homeowner Denise Prues in Ave Maria, was shared to Facebook by Matt Devitt, a meteorologist with WINK, and can be viewed here.
Prues told the News-Press that she heard a noise from her side yard before noticing the gator as it walked between two homes toward a pond behind them. The same path is frequently used by golf carts.

The first part of the video shows one golf cart drive by the gator without incident, Fox Weather said.
The second part of the video, which was shared by Devitt, shows the feisty gator quickly charging at the driver’s side of a golf cart whose driver didn’t notice the large reptile was there.

The panicked driver swerved to the right, onto grass closer to the water’s edge, to avoid it.
