Christmas was an especially difficult, discouraging and hungry time for the homeless residents of downtown Jacksonville, Florida.

Thankfully a number of people from local organizations helped meet their needs around the streets of downtown Jacksonville and in James Weldon Johnson Park.

TLIMS CHURCH was amomg many churches and organizations handing out food and aid to the homeless in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. TLIMS CHURCH gave out over 70 Christmas breakfast bags and gifts to people on the streets of the downtown area.

The members of TLIMS CHURCH believe Jesus gave us an example and responsibility to help. According to Reverend Haynes, "It was heartbreaking to see so many people in the downtown area with nothing but what they could carry." "It brought tears to my eyes to see the thankfulness and smiles of so many who received a warm breakfast."
