Comcast Co-Hosted Community Forum About Digital Equity in Tallahassee
Comcast Provided a Significant Donation to the Rotary Club of Tallahassee Southside for New Program to Promote Digital Inclusion

The Rotary Club of Tallahassee Southside, the Greater Apalachee Ridges Estates Neighborhood Association and Leon County Public Schools partnered with Comcast to host the Inaugural Community Digital Equity Forum on June 27 at Fairview Middle School.
Aiming to facilitate an honest conversation about digital equity and inclusion in Tallahassee, as well as create a plan of action to bridge the digital divide in the area, Christic Henry the Presiden of the Greater Apalachee Ridge Estates Neighborhood Association and Rotary International District, Dr. Michelle Gayle the Deputy Superintendent of Leon County Schools, and Bret Perkins, the Senior Vice President of External & Government Affairs for Comcast, educated local residents, especially families and students, on how they can get connected to high-speed Internet at an affordable price.
At this event, Comcast announced significant funding for a new local program to promote digital inclusion and adoption in Leon County and donated $75,000 to The Rotary Club of Tallahassee Southside. These efforts are part of Project UP, Comcast’s commitment to advance digital equity and help create a future of unlimited possibilities for millions of Americans.
