K. Lucius Boyd (Kenneth Boyd) grew up in the Riverside/Avondale area of Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from the school formerly known as Robert E. Lee High School. He is a poet

and jazz musician. He holds a BA and MA from the University of Minnesota and worked as a marketing executive for IBM and other high-tech companies. He’s currently enrolled in the UCLA Extension Creative Writing Certificate Program. His poetry has appeared in Of Poets & Poetry.
