2 Land O' Lakes High Students Earn Perfect ACT Scores
Both achieved composite scores of 36, something few test takers nationwide accomplish.

Itβs feat not many achieve, but two Land Oβ Lakes High seniors have done it.
According to a media release, Colin Defant, son of Marc and Susan Defant, and Rohit Iyer, son of Remesh Iyer and Jyothi Venkatachalam, each earned perfect scores on an ACT test taken during their junior years.
Only about one-tenth of one percent of test takers nationwide earn a top score of 36, the release stated.

Both are rising seniors in the schoolβs International Baccalaureate program, βwhere they have excelled for the past three years,β according to the release.
The ACT, a national college admissions exam, includes tests on English, mathematics, science and reading. Each test is scored on a scale of 1-36 and a studentβs composite score is the average of the four test scores.

Among test takers in the graduating class of 2011, only 704 of more than 1.6 million students earned a composite score of 36, according to the release.
Both of these fine young men have demonstrated to themselves, their families and their peers how much can be attained through focus and hard work,β LOLHS principal Ric Mellin said in a press release.Β βI am proud of them for this as well as the many other contributions they makes as students at Land Oβ Lakes High School.β
