Pizza Villa Celebrates 25 Years
The Land O' Lakes eatery has prepared countless pizzas, calzones and Greek-inspired dishes since its inception.
When Pizza Villa opened 25 years ago, State Road 54 in Land O’ Lakes was quite a bit different from the way it is today.
“There were orange groves out there,” manager Cheryl Will said. “Shopping centers and businesses have gone up.”
While the food industry may be notorious for its restaurant failure rate, Pizza Villa has clearly bucked the trend. This year, they are celebrating a quarter-century in business.

Will, who has been a manager with Pizza Villa since its inception, said the secret to the eatery’s success has to do with the power of three: “We give you good food, great prices and our service.”
As the restaurant's name implies, the star of the menu is the pizza. Will says it's “not New York-style” and has a decidedly crunchier crust. But then there are the Greek offerings, too. Gyros, baked Greek chicken and pasta dishes round out the bill of fare.

“I miss those hot Italian subs and Greek potato salad, Ahhh and the dressing! …. If you would only deliver to Clearwater,” Terry Baumann wrote on the eatery's Facebook page. “But best of all, some really great people.”
Will said the community has been kind to Pizza Villa so Pizza Villa tries to be kind to the community.
“We have always supported the sports — the kids’ football and baseball and soccer,” she said. “We’re always donating different things for fundraisers.”
Will said she is proud of Pizza Villa.
"For the community, we're a good local family restaurant to visit," she said.
