Saint Leo University to be Closed Friday, Fall Family Festival Canceled
The university is closing due to the projected path of Hurricane Matthew and potential for east Pasco County to sustain strong winds.

Due to the projected path of Hurricane Matthew and the potential for east Pasco County to sustain strong winds, University Campus will be closed on Friday, October 7. All activities at the campus on Friday are cancelled. Fall Family Festival weekend activities are canceled. Tonightβs (Thursday) evening classes will be held as scheduled.
Essential personnel (Campus Security & Safety, Plant Operations, Residence Life, and Dining Services) will be available to assist students who live on campus, and every precaution will be taken to ensure their safety.

The University Campus anticipates reopening on Saturday, October 8, for Adult and Education center classes, the cross country event at the Abbey Golf Course, and the volleyball game at 4 p.m. If the university should need to be closed on Saturday, that decision would be made by 7 p.m. on Friday.
Saint Leoβs University Campus is at 33701 State Road 52, Saint Leo, FL 33574, north of Tampa, FL, in Pasco County.

In addition, these Saint Leo University locations are closed Friday:
- Tampa Education Center at ChannelsideβThe university expects to reopen on Saturday, October 8, for classes;
- Adult Education Center at University CampusβThe university expects to reopen on Saturday, October 8, for classes;
- Pasco-Hernando State College sitesβBrooksville, New Port Richey, Porter (Wesley Chapel), and Spring Hill. The university expects to reopen on Monday, October 10.
- Lakeland Education CenterβThe university expects to reopen on Monday, October 10.
