3 Largo Runners at Boston Marathon as Explosion Rocks Race

Boston Police said the blast occurred just before 3 p.m. Police say at least two are dead and dozens are injured.

Boston Police are reporting at least two people died and dozens were injured after two explosions occurred Monday afternoon near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. 

Video of the incident shows the explosion knocking runners and bystanders to the ground following the blast. 

According to the Boston Marathon's website, at least three runners in this year's race listed Largo as their hometown. If you wish to search for 2013 Boston Marathon runners, click here.

The Boston Marathon released a statement around 4 p.m. that said, "There were two bombs that exploded near the finish line in today's Boston Marathon. We are working with law enforcement to understand what exactly has happened."

The Associated Press is reporting at least two other explosive devices were found.
