Catchy Tune By Largo Police Serves As Reminder To Lock Up Vehicles

Largo Police Crime Prevention Officer Keith Bowling wrote a catchy tune to remind residents to lock their vehicles during the holidays.

LARGO, FL — Warnings don't seem to be working when it comes to convincing Largo residents to lock their vehicles.

This year, more than 350 auto thefts and vehicle burglaries were reported to Largo police, and the majority involved unlocked vehicles.

Thieves have been making off with purses, wallets, cash, identification, credit and debit cards, guns and other valuables from unlocked cars.

To help remind residents to local up Largo Crime Prevention Officer Keith Bowling, partnering with musician Bill Floyd, composed a catchy tune titled to remind residents to lock up called, "Lock Me, Mama."

It's a play on the hit by Darius Rucker, "Wagon Wheel."
