Historic Flag Exhibit Opens Saturday
The Armed Forces History Museum hosts an opening ceremony July 14 at 3 p.m.
Nearly 300 patriotic flags will be on display in Largo through August 27.
The special exhibit opens with a flag receiving ceremony on Saturday. The event includes patriotic music and opening remarks from Largo Mayor Pat Gerard and the museum's marketing director Cindy Bosselmann.
The flag collection belongs to Mary Jo Bell. The professional singer's collection has some unique and rare flags including the Liberty Flag, Grand Union Flag, a British Royal Army #4 Flag and an early US 13-Star Flag, according to the museum.
