Largo Boy, 15, Seriously Hurt After Getting Struck By Car
The boy was outside a crosswalk when he was hit Wednesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 15-year-old Largo boy was seriously injured after he was struck by a car while crossing 66th Street North in Pinellas Park on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The teenager was crossing south of 90th Avenue North and was outside the crosswalk when he walked into the path of a 2003 Hyundai Sonata headed south, according to the highway patrol's preliminary investigation.
The accident happened around 12:19 p.m. Wednesday.

The teen was taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg with serious injuries, authorities said.
The driver, 62-year-old Ricardo Martinez Calvijo, of Largo, was uninjured.

Charges are pending in the case, the FHP said. It remains under investigation.
