Largo House Fire Kills Resident

LARGO, FL — A 59-year-old man has died following a house fire Sunday night at 10422 116th Ave. N in unincorporated Largo.

At 10:29 p.m., the Largo and Seminole fire departments were called to fight the fire. When firefighters forced their way through the front door, they found 59-year-old Thomas Shook lying on the floor. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said the fire doesn't appear to be suspicious. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of Shook's death.
