Detectives said the teen recorded herself on video placing a lit marijuana cigarette into the mouth of a 1-year-old baby.
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Pinellas County sheriff's detectives have charged a 17-year-old girl with felony child abuse after they said she recorded herself on video placing a lit marijuana cigarette into the mouth of a 1-year-old baby. The teen was babysitting the 1-year-old girl at the time.
On Thursday, deputies were called to a home in unincorporated Largo for a report of child abuse. The teen initially admitted to smoking marijuana near the baby but denied placed the marijuana cigarette in the baby's mouth.
Detectives then obtained a copy of the video showing the teen placing the marijuana cigarette in the baby's mouth. On Friday, she was arrested and charged with one county of felony child abuse.
