Pinellas County Announce Utilities Construction

Utilities construction will cause part of Seminole Blvd. to close.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL - Pinellas County Utilities crews will begin construction on a connection between two potable water pipes at the intersection of 16th Avenue SE and Seminole Boulevard in Largo on Tuesday, September 6. The construction will take approximately 10 days and all northbound lanes of Seminole Boulevard at the intersection with 16th Avenue SE will be closed, southbound lanes will not be

impacted.

Alternate travel routes during construction are Clearwater/Largo Road or Starkey Road. Proper signage will be placed.

Utilities crews are connecting a 20-inch and a 36-inch pipe. This connection will provide the county's Logan Pump Station with a better water supply to maintain adequate water quality throughout the system. A portion of the 36-inch pipe, which is the primary feeder into the pump station, was damaged during unrelated construction activities.
