Seabird Rescue Facility Coming to Largo?

Largo could place a rehab center at McGough Park that would be run by Suncoast Bird Rescue, but any decision is far off, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

A new seabird rescue facility could come to Largo's McGough Park, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Largo parks superintendent Greg Brown has had talks with the nonprofit groupΒ Suncoast Bird Rescue about placing a rehab center at the park onΒ 146th Street, according to the Times, but:

Any agreement is far down the road, he said, and would require the City Commission's approval but the idea is that Largo would provide the land and that Suncoast Bird Rescue would provide everything else.
