The new Thorntons, which opened Dec. 30, is located at 8875 Ulmerton Rd.
The Largo location is part of the planned expansion of the chain into the Tampa Bay market. Thorntons has more than 166 locations in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee. Its first Tampa Bay location opened in early December in Clearwater.
Thorntons is known for its wide selection of fountain drinks where customers can add a choice of flavor shots and choose different types of ice. The retailer offers 'hot off the grill' convenience foods, grocery items and hot, cold and frozen drinks.
