Debby Debris Collection Continues
The City of Largo is still collecting yard waste and debris from Tropical Storm Debby.

Tropical Storm Debby brought rains and a through Largo on June 24. Â The storm left behind a vast amount of , which the city continues to collect.
The storm cleanup has caused a change in the residential garbage pickup schedule.Â
The city "thanks customers for their patience as the collection schedules have been temporarily altered due to the inordinate amount of yard waste and bulky debris needing removal," wrote Solid Waste Manager Michael Gordon.

Two new garbage trucks will be added to the city's fleet. The new trucks came sooner than anticipated because of the increased collection demands caused by the storm, according to Fleet Manager Donald Moore.
The city's park crews have cleaned up downed trees and debris from Debby in several parks, according to a city report:
