Wanted Man Escapes During Pinellas County Arrest: Sheriff
Deputies are looking for a wanted man who escaped while being arrested Monday morning in Largo, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

LARGO, FL — Deputies are seeking public assistance in finding a wanted man who escaped from them during a Monday morning arrest, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office news release.
They first made contact with Kenneth Emery, 40, around 9:20 a.m. in the area of Seminole Boulevard and Ulmerton Road in Largo. Deputies learned that he had a warrant for petit theft.
During his arrest, he ran from deputies on foot and was last seen heading north on Seminole Boulevard, PCSO said. Emery still had a handcuff attached to his left wrist at the time he fled.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit, Flight Unit and the Pasco Sheriff’s Office bloodhound searched the area for several hours.
Emery, who is transient, is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark blue Tampa Bay Storm jersey, a tan jacket and black pants.

He has a tattoo that says “Dirty” on the right side of his neck, tattoos that spell “Spit” on his right fingers and others that spell “Game” on his left fingers.
He has several active charges in addition to the warrant he was taken into custody for, the sheriff’s office said.
These new charges include escape, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession and fentanyl, trafficking in fentanyl, possession of forged notes/bills/checks/drafts, and unlawful possession of personal identification information of another person.
