1 Killed, 2 Wounded In SW Miami-Dade

One person was killed and two others wounded early Sunday in southwest Miami-Dade County.

MIAMI, FL — One person was killed and two others wounded early Sunday in southwest Miami-Dade County.

Detective Lee Cowart of the Miami-Dade County Police Department said police received a report of gunfire at a party around 12:40 a.m. in the 18900 block of SW 106 Avenue.

"Upon arrival, officers discovered one adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound," Cowart said. "Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries."

Cowart said two other adults checked into a local hospital suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

"Detectives believe the incidents are related," Cowart added.
