📰 News we're reading

• Pilot declared ‘Mayday' after flying through Musk rocket explosion (pressnewsagency.org) — Miami-based air traffic controllers first learned of a SpaceX Starship explosion from pilots reporting debris overhead, not from the company, raising concerns about communication and safety. FAA documents describe planes declaring emergencies, flying through a no-fly zone, and coming dangerously close before controllers intervened. Officials now worry that growing rocket traffic could increasingly disrupt major flight routes, including those affecting South Florida travelers.
