2 People And Dog Rescued When Seaplane Flips Over Near PortMiami

Two people and a dog were rescued Saturday when a seaplane flipped over near PortMiami.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — Two people and a dog were rescued Saturday when a seaplane flipped over near PortMiami.

A spokesperson for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the incident happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in the main channel of the port.

"Upon arrival, Fireboat 73 found a seaplane that had flipped upside down and ended up on the main channel waters with two people and a dog on board," the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said no one was injured.

"With Fireboat 73’s assistance, all occupants made it out of the seaplane safely, were treated for minor scrapes and bruises and released on scene," the spokesperson added.
