Two people escaped injury Monday afternoon when their small plane crashed in a sugar cane field.
WEST PALM BEACH, FL — Two people escaped injury Monday afternoon when their small plane crashed in a sugar cane field. The incident happened near the 15000 block of S U.S. Highway 27 in Palm Beach County.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said the two survivors were the only people aboard the single engine plane when it crashed.

First reponders released photos of the crash scene that showed the plane upside down with the rear elevated. The aircraft appeared to be in a ditch along a dirt road.
