2 Killed, 2 Wounded In Miami

Two people were killed by gunfire and two others were wounded on Sunday in Miami.

MIAMI, FL — Two people were killed by gunfire and two others were wounded in Miami on Sunday afternoon. Police said that the shootings occurred at NW 63rd Street and NW 13th Place. One of those killed was under 18 years of age, according to Miami police.

Officer Kiara Delva of the Miami Police Department said police were still attempting to determine what led to the shootings that occurred around 2 p.m.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami Fire Rescue. The other three were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where a second victim died.

The remaining victims are both male, according to Delva.

Police closed 13 Court and 14 Avenue between 63 Street and 64 Street for a time on Sunday as a result of the investigation. Motorists were asked to avoid the area.
