The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office has charged a 15-year-old boy with criminal battery after he was reportedly caught on cell phone video repeatedly punching a 9-year-old girl inside a Homestead school bus.

In a written statement, State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said the beating was "far more serious than a simple student altercation."
