'Business Bandit' Linked To 9 Florida Bank Heists

The FBI has linked the so-called "Business Bandit" to a total of nine bank heists stretching from Miami to Jupiter.

MIAMI, FL — The FBI has linked the so-called "Business Bandit" to a total of nine bank heists stretching from Miami to Boca Raton and as far north as Jupiter. Various bank surveillance images showed the man wearing a stylish ascot cap, necktie, vest and sport coat. He is believed to have struck a Deerfield Beach BB&T bank branch on Friday.

The so-called "Business Bandit" is also believed to have struck eight other South Florida locations since 2015, including a TD Bank branch in Miami Lakes on Dec. 15, 2017; a TD Bank on NW 57th Avenue in Miami on Feb. 5, 2016; a Jupiter Wells Fargo on Feb. 17, 2016; a PNC Bank on Nov. 10, 2017 and four banks in Boca Raton: a TD Bank on Palmetto Park Road on Dec. 18, 2015, a Suntrust on Glades Road on Jan. 15, 2016, a Suntrust on Glades Road on Nov. 7, 2017 and a Wells Fargo on Glades Road on Nov. 17, 2017.

"He should be considered armed and dangerous, stressed Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami.

The FBI would not say how much money was taken in any of the bank robberies. No one was injured during the latest incident on Friday.
