1. New Miami-Dade School Superintendent José Dotres plans to hit the ground running. He shared, "I will focus on unfinished learning within the student body, supporting the teachers to be equipped in the classroom and making sure the resources that the leaders will need so that teaching, learning and emotional support are readily available." 2. A man was found shot to death Tuesday morning in the parking lot of a Miramar condo. The man's body was found in the front parking lot of the Foxcroft Condominiums at South Douglas Road near Miramar Parkway. (CBS Miami)

3. Two Miami men were each sentenced to 41 months in federal prison for stealing 192 medical ventilators being sent to El Salvador to treat critically ill COVID-19 patients in 2020. 42-year-old Yoelvis Deni Hernandez, also known as "Guajiro," and 25-year-old Luis Urra Montero, also known as "Flaco," 25, previously pled guilty to theft of government property. 4. The City of Fort Lauderdale is memorializing the victim of a 1935 lynching with a street renaming. A section of Davie Boulevard between I-95 and U.S 441 was renamed "Rubin Stacy Memorial Boulevard" during a ceremony. (CBS Miami)

5. Prominent Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump has sued Hollywood Police after an officer-involved shooting left a man paralyzed. Crump said, "at some point, he was tased twice, if not more. At some point, he was stark naked. At some point, he was handcuffed, and at some point, he was face down." Witnesses said a Hollywood Police officer shot 42-year-old Michael Ortiz in a wheelchair during the struggle. (WSVN)

  • On Monday morning, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a rollover crash near NW 6 Avenue & NW 151 Street. Upon arrival, fire crews found a vehicle on its side engulfed in flames with the driver trapped inside. Crews immediately extricated the driver of the vehicle and the driver was transported to the hospital. A pedestrian was also transported after being injured in the crash. (Facebook)
