Cold Iguana Climbs Christmas Tree After Getting Into FL Home: Watch
A Florida family used a pool skimmer to try to remove an iguana who got into their home and climbed the Christmas tree. Check out the video.

FLORIDA — One Florida family celebrated a green Christmas after a cold iguana got into their home over the holiday weekend.
The skittish lizard climbed up the family’s Christmas tree, wreaking havoc, a video shared on Facebook by WINK meteorologist Matt Devitt shows. (Watch the video below.)
The frigid temperatures sweeping the country likely gave the cold-blooded critter a scare. When temperatures dip below about 40 degrees, iguanas tend to freeze up and become immobile, causing them to lose their grip and fall from trees or wherever they’re perched outside.

Later she’s heard saying in the video, “Oh, please no, he’s gonna break the tree.”
As the iguana evades the skimmer, he throws ornaments to the ground.
Just when they think they’ve caught the lizard, it’s apparent he isn’t leaving any time soon.
“Is he down?” the woman asks in the video. “He’s not down … He just climbed it again.”
