DUI Crackdown Planned On Thursday In Miami
Miami police are planning a crackdown on DUI and other motor vehicle offenses starting at 4 p.m. on Thursday.

MIAMI, FL — Miami police will be stopping cars on Thursday afternoon into Friday morning as part of a DUI and traffic enforcement crackdown. Officer Kenia Fallat of the Miami Police Department said that officers will show "zero tolerance" for offenders in the area around NW 18 Avenue and 34 Street. The area falls in the department's Alapattah N.E.T. Service area.
"The goal of this saturation patrol is to provide a continuing effort to reduce traffic-related injuries and fatalities on our roadways," Fallat said. "The operation will consist of traffic enforcement officers deploying to different locations throughout the Allapattah N.E.T. Area which have been identified through the collection of traffic crash data and traffic complaints in recent months."
In addition to DUI offenders, police will also be looking for motorists who are found to be driving with a suspended license or who don't have a license at all. She said that officers will also be looking for people who aren't wearing a seat-belt and those who are speeding.
