DUI Crackdown Thursday Night In Miami
Miami police are planning a crackdown on DUI and other motor vehicle offenses starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

MIAMI, FL — Miami police will be stopping cars on Thursday night as part of a DUI crackdown. Officer Kenia Fallat of the Miami Police Department said that officers will show "zero tolerance" for offenders in the area around NE 3 Court and 79th Street. The area falls in the department's Little Haiti N.E.T. Service area.
"The goal of this checkpoint is to identify and apprehend impaired drivers before they can kill or injure others," Fallat said. "The Miami Police Department will adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for motorists who violate Florida’s traffic laws."
Fallat said that officers will also be looking for people who aren't wearing seat-belts. The rolling patrols will be in effect from 7 p.m. to midnight.
