DUI Sweeps Planned On Thursday In Miami
Miami police will be stopping cars on Thursday in a DUI saturation patrol from 2 p.m. to midnight.

MIAMI, FL — Miami police will be stopping cars on Thursday in a DUI saturation patrol from 2 p.m. to midnight. The operation will be conducted in the department's Coral Way NET service area.
Police said that officers will focus on the area around 2120 SW 32 Ave.
"The goal of this saturation patrol is to provide a continuing effort to reduce traffic-related injuries and fatalities on our roadways," according to Miami police. "The operation will consist of traffic enforcement officers deploying to different locations throughout the Coral Way NET service area which have been identified through the collection of traffic crash data and traffic complaints in recent months."

The effort will be coordinated by the Miami Police Department's Traffic Enforcement Unit.
In addition to DUI violations, officers have also been instructed to show zero tolerance for drivers who are speeding, driving without insurance, without a valid license or not wearing seat-belts.

"This effort is in conjunction with the 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,' 'Lets Eliminate Aggressive Driving' and the 'Buckle Up Florida: Click It or Ticket' campaigns," according to Miami police.
