FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — The FBI is searching for a bandit and possible accomplice who robbed a BB&T Bank branch on Wednesday. The robbery took place around 7:51 a.m. The branch is located at 6400 N. Federal Highway.

"A robber entered the bank, displayed a weapon and demanded money from a bank employee," according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami. "Investigators believe the robber had an accomplice."

No one was injured.

The FBI released photographs of the robber taken from surveillance cameras. The FBI would not say how much money was taken during the robbery.
