1. One of four men who were arrested outside of a nightclub in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood said police officers used excessive force during a tough takedown, leaving him bloodied and bruised. (WSVN)

2. Ferrari stormed to the front of the grid for the inaugural Miami Grand Prix as Formula One championship leader Charles Leclerc and teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. locked up the front row in Saturday qualifying. This represents the first time Ferrari will lead the field to green in the United States since Michael Schumacher won the pole at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2006. (CBS Miami)

3. Police in Broward County are investigating a deadly shooting. According to officers in Miramar, they received a call at approximately 1:30 p.m. Saturday regarding possible shots fired. Miramar police responded to the 13900 block of Honey Hill Drive after receiving the call. (WSVN)

4. A new Trader Joe’s store is nearly complete in Midtown Miami. It will become the first Trader Joe’s store within city limits of Miami. In total, 14,795 square feet of space is being built out at an estimated cost of $2.2 million. (The Next Miami)

5. Signs have been installed at downtown Miami's shuttered Omni International Mall touting a project called the Omni Innovation District. The Omni International Mall was once a giant urban mall built in Miami's urban core and opened decades ago. A portion of the old property is still operating as the Hilton Miami Downtown, with 528 rooms. (The Next Miami)
