MIAMI, FL — Fire swept through three Miami-Dade buses early Sunday morning, according to a spokesperson for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

"Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to reports of a vehicle fire under the Metro Rail near NW 33 Avenue and NW 38 Street," the spokesperson said, adding the call came in shortly before 1 a.m.

"Upon arrival, fire crews found three unoccupied buses fully engulfed in flames parked inside a gated yard," the spokesperson said.

"To gain access into the fire, firefighters had to cut through the fence in order to pull a hose line and begin a fire attack," the spokesperson explained. "Fire crews quickly put the fire under control, preventing further spreading of the fire."

There were no injuries in the blaze. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
