Florida Coronavirus Update: 569,637 Total Cases, 205 New Deaths
Florida health officials reported 205 new coronavirus deaths on Saturday.

TALLAHASSEE, FL — Florida health officials reported 205 new coronavirus deaths Saturday as the total number of cases in the state increased by 6,352.
Florida's death toll climbed to 9,345 deaths Saturday, up from 9,141 a day earlier. The latest one-day record of 276 reported deaths was set on Tuesday.
Health officials reported another 135 deaths involving non-Florida residents who died in Florida.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Florida rose to 569,637 Saturday, up from 563,285 a day earlier.

Thirty-six of Florida's 67 counties reported 205 new deaths Saturday (state health officials reported 204) while Sarasota County reported one fewer death. That compares with 228 new deaths Friday, 148 new deaths reported Thursday, 226 new deaths Wednesday (state health officials reported 212), 276 new deaths reported Tuesday, 91 new deaths Monday, 83 new deaths Sunday (state health officials reported 77) and 182 new deaths last Saturday.

- Dade County reported 48 new deaths.
- Broward County reported 26 new deaths.
- Orange County reported 16 new deaths.
- Palm Beach County reported 13 new deaths.
- Volusia County reported 12 new deaths.
- Osceola County reported nine new deaths.
- Duval County reported seven new deaths.
- Brevard County reported six new deaths.
- Polk County reported five new deaths.
- Clay County reported four new deaths.
- Hernando County reported four new deaths.
- Jackson County reported four new deaths.
- Lee County reported four new deaths.
- Pasco County reported four new deaths.
- Bay County reported three new deaths.
- Charlotte County reported three new deaths.
- Escambia County reported three new deaths.
- Indian River County reported three new deaths.
- Lake County reported three new deaths.
- Pinellas County reported three new deaths.
- Citrus County reported two new deaths.
- Columbia County reported two new deaths.
- Gadsden County reported two new deaths.
- Hillsborough County reported two new deaths.
- Marion County reported two new deaths.
- Nassau County reported two new deaths.

Florida reported a statewide positive test rate of 13.53 percent based on 4,209,375 tests as of Saturday. While there have been daily testing declines in the positivity rate, the overall state positivity rate has been ticking upward for weeks.
The state reported 33,661 hospitalizations up from 33,155 total hospitalizations a day earlier. That represents an increase of 506 new hospitalizations over the previous day, which is among the highest one-day increases since the pandemic began.

Miami-Dade, which includes Miami and Miami Beach, reported 144,407 cases of the virus as of Saturday. Nearby Broward County, which includes Fort Lauderdale, reported 66,011 cases. Palm Beach County, which includes Palm Beach, West Palm and Boca Raton, reported 38,902 cases.
Hillsborough County, which includes Tampa, reported 34,040 cases. Orange County, which includes Orlando, reported 33,180 cases.
