Florida Woman On House Arrest Coerced Into Having Sex
A Florida woman on house arrest was coerced into having sex with a correctional officer, according to the Miami-Dade State Attorney.

MIAMI, FL — A Florida correctional officer has been accused of coercing a woman on house arrest into having sex with him during at least four separate mandatory visits, according to Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle.
“Having any law enforcement officer commit a crime, violating his oath to protect this community, is always a betrayal,” said Fernandez Rundle. “I am proud of the actions of the Miami-Dade Police Department and the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department Internal Affairs Bureau to bring the alleged activities of this individual to an end.”
Thirty-six-year-old Yulian Gonzalez was being held without bond on four counts of armed sexual battery and four counts of armed kidnapping. Gonzalez was an 11-year employee with the Miami Dade Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation assigned to the department’s Monitored Release Bureau.

"The victim alleged that Gonzalez had been forcing her to engage in penile vaginal intercourse against her will when he would conduct his mandatory visitations," officials said. "The victim disclosed that Gonzalez used coercion and fear by threatening to violate her house arrest status and return her into custody if she did not comply with his demands for sex."
Officials said Gonzalez allegedly drove the woman to the Nexx Motel in his unmarked agency vehicle to have sex. He rented a room at the motel on NW 27th Avenue when he took her to have sex.

"The victim also advised that Gonzalez would tamper with her ankle monitoring device when he transported her to and from the motel," officials explained. "Video from the Nexx Motel and text messages augmented the victim’s statements regarding these contacts."
Officials said Gonzalez allegedly threatened to violate the woman's house arrest status and return her to custody if she did not have sex with him.
“Upon receiving allegations about staff misconduct, Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department immediately initiated an internal investigation working alongside our law enforcement partners," explained agency Director Daniel Junior. “At no time will this department tolerate behavior that violates the law or our community’s trust."
The investigation was conducted by the Miami-Dade Police Department, Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department Internal Affairs Bureau and the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office.
