1. A mother of 2, Olga Fernandez, was run over and dragged by a car after an argument over a parking space in Hialeah. Neighbors say the argument started when Fernandez's 24-year-old daughter came back to their apartment at 400 West 1st Avenue and found someone parked in her assigned spot. (WPLG Local 10)
2. The mother of a Brentwood Elementary School student, 35-year-old Brenzina Jones, is accused of bringing a gun to school where she made threats to staff, according to police. The arrest report said she flashed her gun and then placed the weapon back into her purse and made loud verbal threats directed towards the school. (CBS Miami)
3. The Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach is moving forward with plans to build a 5-story expansion on a surface parking lot at 4360 Collins Avenue. The project was approved by Miami Beach's Historic Preservation Board in 2020. (The Next Miami)
4. Makoto has a new look at the recently-opened Bal Harbour Shops. The relocated restaurant headed by chef Makoto Okuwa shows a colorful interior and contemporary indoor and outdoor space. Guests can look forward to spicy tuna crispy rice, rock shrimp tempura, miso sea bass, and more. (Eater Miami)
5. A mother who found her 2-year-old daughter alone and locked inside her Plantation daycare with the lights off is planning to sue the owner of the facility, her attorney said Friday. Employees at the facility told police they use a tablet to check out all of the children and are not sure what happened. (CBS Miami)
