Fugitive Drowns In Tamarac Lake Trying To Outrun Police

Police were able to track him down, but then he jumped into the lake and never came up.

A fugitive who was trying to outrun police wound up drowning in a Tamarac lake on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the man was a suspect wanted in connection to an armed kidnapping in Fort Lauderdale two weeks ago.

Police were able to track him down, but then he jumped into the lake and never came up.
