There's plenty of ways to celebrate Halloween around Miami.

MIAMI, FL — Whether you plan to dress up like a unicorn, little devil or even a world leader with a penchant for golf, there's no shortage of ways to celebrate Halloween around Miami.

Miami ranked seventh in a recent WalletHub study of the 100 largest U.S. cities for Halloween based on 21 key factors, ranging from the number of candy and chocolate stores per person to the average price of Halloween party tickets and share of potential trick-or-treat stops. Halloween on Miami Beach

Traffic will be closed between Drexel and Lenox Avenues along 16 Street and Lincoln Lane North from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Halloween. Only local traffic will be allowed from 16 Street to Lincoln Road. Residents will be required to show proof of residence along with a valid government-issued ID.

Lincoln Road will open its streets to a fun packed night of the ghoulish, glamorous and everything in between on Halloween night. Ghosts and goblins of all ages are invited to enjoy the promenade early in the evening before it transforms into a vibrant catwalk for costume revelers and visitors later in the night.

Trick or Treat with MBPD starts at 5 p.m. Miami Beach police will be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters on Lincoln Road and Meridian Avenue.

Make your way over to Hallowave on Washington Avenue at 5 p.m. from 5 to 16 Streets to enjoy treats from businesses along the strip, as well as at Miami Beach Police Department headquarters, where police officers will be handing out treats outside the police station. Police headquarters is located at 1100 Washington Avenue. Look for your favorite superheroes along Washington Avenue from 5 to 16 Streets. They will be handing out candy and taking photos with little ones.

Head over to the Scott Rakow Youth Center from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for an awesome Halloween party with carnival games, ice skating, rides and a haunted house. Admission costs $5. The youth center is located at 2700 Sheridan Avenue.

Miami-Dade Police Department Haunted House

Miami-Dade cops in the Kendall District are hosting an annual Halloween party and haunted house on Halloween night. District headquarters are located at 7707 SW 117 Ave., Miami.

"The Miami-Dade Police Department is committed to providing the community a safe and fun environment during Halloween," according to the agency. "The Kendall District has partnered with local businesses to provide music, candy and food, along with a pumpkin patch."

Children can meet McGruff the Crime Dog, visit with police K-9s and check out an actual police helicopter and a DARE vehicle.

"In an effort to ensure a safe environment, masks will not be permitted at the event," police explained.

The event runs until 9 p.m. on Halloween.

Coral Gables Halloween on the Mile

Downtown Coral Gables invites kids of all ages to celebrate the Annual Halloween on the Mile, produced by the Business Improvement District (“BID”) of Coral Gables on October 31st. The fun starts at 3 p.m. and lasts until 7 p.m. with a lineup of exciting Halloween activities that includes
spooky storytelling, arts and crafts, a kiddie costume contest and a doggy costume contest.
This fun festival is produced by the Coral Gables Business Improvement District.

Jungle Island Glows Orange for Halloween

Get your Halloween glow on during Luminosa Festival of Lights. Just for the occasion, Jungle Island will illuminate its trails with orange light. Stroll through hundreds of giant lanterns shaped into whimsical animals, marine life, birds, blooms and even iconic Miami destinations. Costumes are encouraged. This nighttime spooktacular also will feature Chinese acrobats, roving entertainment, Adventure Bay, a DJ booth and live music, free treats for all ages, food trucks, a Moet Champagne lounge, and bars, serving up specialty cocktails and mocktails. Stop by can stop by on Halloween (October 31) for a Glow Happy Hour with half-priced drinks. Tickets for Luminosa are $35 per adult, $30 per child (ages 3 to 9 years old) and $99 for a family pack (2 adults + 2 children). Save 10 percent by purchasing your tickets online. Time Out Market

Stop by Time Out Market for free makeup. The team from Glam Squad will offer complimentary Halloween makeup from 5 to 8 .pm. Each session will last about 20 minutes and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Come for the makeup, but stay for the tunes. A DJ will be spinning spooky music from 8 to 11 p.m. Time Out Market is located at 1601 Drexel Ave., Miami Beach.

National Hotel
Collins Avenue’s elegant and legendary Art Deco hotel, is celebrating Halloween this year with an Open Mic Night inside the iconic Blues Bar, complete with a costume contest, two-for-one cocktails and $8 tapas. Starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, the lobby will turn into an interactive show playing a range of favorites from jazz, blues, pop and Broadway. Insider tip: order the Dia de los Muertos cocktail, made with mezcal, overproof rum, orange juice, grenadine, velvet falernum liqueur, bitters and apricot liqueur. Lolo's Surf Cantina

The dead are coming out to play at Lolo's this Halloween. The beachside Mexican restaurant will be offering $10 specialty cocktails, $6 margaritas on the rocks and $24 chicken enchiladas with rice, beans, carrots and potato salad. DJ Andres Amadeus will be spinning from 7 p.m. to 11 pm.

Go spooky this Halloween at Havana 1957 on Española Way with the Havanaddams Family Halloween Party. Dress to scare and celebrate with five for $15 Hatuey beer buckets and $10 Morticia's Mojito.

Pisco y Nazca
Come enjoy a different kind of Halloween celebration. La Canción Criolla (or the Day of the Creole song) is a Peruvian tradition that celebrates the mix of different cultures in Peru, and the customs and music that generated from this union. Criolla music combines African, Spanish and Andean influences in songs that have become an expression of national identity in Peru.With this in mind, Pisco y Nazca’s celebration of Noche de la Canción Criolla will include live criolla music, chaufa tasting, and dancing. Bakan Wynwood

Bakan Wynwood is an indoor and outdoor restaurant-bar that will transport you to Mexico with its earthy, artsy, modern space. The restaurant creates an authentic Mexican experience for Dia de los Muertos celebration on Nov. 2. For the traditional holiday, staff will dress in all black, with their faces painted with the traditional Calavera Catrina. Bakan will also have altars commemorating the departed, decorated with "ofrendas" or offerings for them, and just for the day the traditional menu will include Pan de muerto, a type of sweet roll shaped like a bun, topped with sugar, and often decorated with bone-shaped pieces. Of course, no celebration would be complete without a themed cocktail!
