Holiday Shopping Safety Tips To Avoid The Grinch

BRADENTON, FL — This may be the season to be jolly, but not everyone wants to wish you good tidings.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office has released a list of holiday shopping tips that can keep you from falling victim to a real-life Christmas Grinch:

• Park in well-lit areas.
• Be aware of your surroundings.
• Don't leave packages exposed in your car.
• Lock packages in the trunk of your car.
• Have keys ready before you get in your car.
• Avoid shopping alone, especially at night.
