Homestead Teen Accused Of Killing Girlfriend's Mom And Boyfriend
A 19-year-old Homestead man has been charged with gunning down his girlfriend's mother and her mother's boyfriend.

HOMESTEAD, FL — A 19-year-old Homestead man has been charged with gunning down his girlfriend's mother and her mother's boyfriend in an early morning double murder. The slayings occurred in the 200 block of NE 12 Avenue, where the two couples lived. Omar Dopico was charged with first-degree murder and lesser offenses.
"Once officers arrived, they made contact with a 17-year-old female and her 19-year-old boyfriend, who both reside at the residence," according to Detective Argemis Colome of the Miami-Dade Police Department. "Further investigation revealed that there was a verbal dispute inside the residence that escalated into a physical confrontation, where shots were fired by the 19-year-old male."
Killed were 35-year-old Deborah Ramos-Arce and 31-year-old David Fluitt.

Colome said that four children were also in the home at the time of the shooting, around 6:53 a.m. None of the children were injured in the gunfire.
Miami-Dade police said that the children ranged in age from one to 10.

In addition to first-degree murder, Dopico is also charged with second-degree murder; possession of a weapon by a convicted felon/delinquent and possession of cannabis with the intent to sell, manufacture, deliver.
