1. The judge in the Parkland school shooting sentencing trial has denied a motion by the mass shooter's defense attorneys to remove herself from the case. The defense claims the judge's animosity toward lead defense attorney Melisa McNeil has "infected" the entire trial. (NBC Miami)
2. Lady Gaga apologized for cutting her concert short on Saturday night in Miami because of a lightning storm. The tour is supporting her sixth studio album, "Chromatica." "I love you and yes, I’d rather be dry, but we’re all alive, so go home and be safe and I’ll see you the next time I’m on stage," the singer shared. (Miami Patch)
3. Members of Miami-Dade Fire Urban Search and Rescue were deployed to Puerto Rico on Monday. They will support local responders looking for and helping storm victims, help integrate teams coming into the area and assist in logistics. (WSVN)
4. It is unclear whether Governor Ron DeSantis is planning to remove Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony from office amid a controversy about his past. State investigators claim Tony failed to disclose an arrest on his 2005 application in Coral Springs. Tony was found not guilty at the age of 14 in a shooting in Philadelphia. The circumstances of the shooting have been questioned. (WPLG Local 10)
5. Two drivers told police late Monday morning that they came under gunfire northbound on I-95. Each driver reported that someone in a dark SUV opened fire on them near NW 125th Street. It is unclear what led to the shooting. (CBS Miami)
