MIAMI, FL — Jungle Island's new holiday extravaganza opened Thursday with lots of high-flying fun, a bit of holiday magic and a visually compelling production. “Santa’s Circus, An Acrobatic Fairytale" was created by former Cirque du Soleil performer Francisco Javier Santos who told Patch that many of his performers are also Cirque alumni.

"It's the same acrobatic quality as Cirque du Soleil," he told Patch.

With a rich family history in the entertainment business dating back to 1706, Javier Santos said the underlying message in "Santa's Circus" is one of harmony.

"What I want to say is that I want people to be united," he explained, adding that his 10-year-old daughter, Luna, is prominently featured in the production.
