A man attempted to abduct a 13-year-old girl in northwest Miami-Dade County but she managed to get away.

MIAMI, FL — A man attempted to abduct a 13-year-old girl in northwest Miami-Dade County but she managed to get away.
Miami-Dade police released a composite sketch of the man Tuesday and are requesting the public's help in finding him, according to Detective Angel Rodriguez of the Miami-Dade Police Department, who said the incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on March 4.
"The victim exited a supermarket and was walking northbound on NW 25 Avenue, when she noticed a male following her," Rodriguez said. "The victim ran towards a nearby park, as the subject ran after her, grabbed her by the hoodie of her sweater and dragged her behind the baseball field bleachers."

Rodriguez said the man forced the girl to sit down before she managed to break free and run toward the park's indoor recreational area for help.
"The victim was able to provide the MDPD forensic artist detailed information of the subject’s description, and a composite sketch was created," Rodriguez said. "Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating this individual."
