Other passengers told reporters that the man allegedly pushed his way onto the plane shouting that he was the FBI and it was his airplane.
"During the boarding process of American Airlines flight 1060 from Miami to Newark Monday, a ticketed passenger for that flight ran on the jetbridge, bypassing the gate agent. Law enforcement was summoned, who removed the passenger," said an American Airlines spokesperson.

Officials ordered everyone off the plane for an additional security sweep based on comments the man made.
The man, who was not identified by police, was escorted off the plane and taken away from the airport, according to police.
"The male met the state of Florida, Baker Act criteria and was admitted to a local hospital for further evaluation," Cowart said. "As a precaution, the plane was checked by MDPD officers and K-9 officers, which yielded negative results."
Cowart said no one was injured during the incident.
"We are unable to release the adult males name due to the medical nature of the incident," Cowart said.
