Missing Orlando Man Found Day After 28th Birthday
Jeremiah Chavez told police that he suffered ill effects after taking ecstasy and marijuana.

MIAMI, FL — A 28-year-0ld man who should have been celebrating his birthday on Monday was found on Tuesday after being reported missing, according to Miami police. Jeremiah Chavez of Orlando had been last seen at Club Space in Miami on Sunday. He told police that he suffered ill effects after taking ecstasy and marijuana.
"We have located Jeremiah Chavez and we will be seeking medical attention for him," Miami police said on Tuesday. "Thanks to Miami Shores Police, media and all that retweeted. His family is reuniting with him now."
Chavez was found in the Miami suburb of Miami Shores when local police responded to a disturbance in the 9400 block of Biscayne Boulevard. He was outside of the Archdiocese Of Miami Mission.

"Once they arrived, they found Jeremiah Chavez hiding behind a wall," according to Officer Michael Vega of the Miami Police Department. "They took him into custody and we are seeking medical attention for him."
His sister, Jaicy Chavez, issued an emotional plea on Facebook after her brother's disappearance. She said that the fact he was celebrating his birthday made his disappearance even more difficult.

"We are completely shattered until we see him make it home safe," she penned when he was initially reported missing. "We need all the prayers we can receive."
Vega said that Chavez asked to borrow a woman's phone to call 9-1-1 in Miami Shores on Monday and then took off running around 4 p.m.
"We knew he was in that area and that he was alive," Vega told Patch, adding that Chavez was being evaluated at North Shore Hospital. He is not facing any charges.
Police believe that Chavez walked from downtown Miami to Miami Shores, which is 7.4 miles away.
Earlier on Tuesday, Miami police released surveillance images of Chavez taken at Braman Cadillac around noon Sunday.
