1. Police are investigating after human remains were found in the mangroves in the Florida Keys. The remains were found near Mile Marker 5.5, near Stock Island, according to Monroe County Sheriff's Office. (NBC Miami)
2. A video has gone viral of a Florida man forced to carry his dog while evacuating his home in Key West from Hurricane Ian. The man was playing video games with his roommates when water started flooding their living room and went up to his ankles as they started packing their things and leaving. (WSVN)
3. The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office is investigating whether Miami Beach Commissioner Kristen Rosen Gonzalez used her position of power to try to interfere with an upcoming election, according to the Miami Herald. If found guilty, the crime would be a first-degree misdemeanor. (Subscription: Miami Herald)
4. Miami DDA's Downtown Development of Regional Impact (DDRI) Task Force has identified a pool of credits to allow for safely adding 15,000 or more downtown residential units, which is currently already over the development limit. It would draw on office space, hotel, and retail credits to allow for more residential units. (Miami Today)
5. The Miami Dolphins' practice sessions were recorded and leaked on Twitter after a workout at University of Cincinnati for Thursday night's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Dolphins asked Barstool Cincinnati to remove the tweets, but the request was refused. (The PH Insider)
