MIAMI BEACH, FL — Miami Beach police have named a suspect in connection with last weekend's slaying of a woman in South Beach.
Police are asking for the public's help in finding 33-year-old Keith Brown, according to Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department. Miami Beach police named Brown as a suspect in the woman's murder.
Police also identified the victim on Wednesday as 32-year-old Latoya Michelle Wiggins, who was gunned down shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday morning at the northwest corner of 10 Street and Collins Avenue steps away from tourist-favorite Ocean Drive.

"Ms. Wiggins was known to our human trafficking investigators and was also a cooperative witness in an active but separate, human trafficking case," Rodriguez said.
He said Brown is suspected of opening fire at least three times toward Wiggins after he and the woman were involved in "some sort of altercation."

Brown was last seen wearing dark clothing as he fled north through Collins Court where he allegedly tossed a firearm just before 11 Street. Police later recovered the gun.
"The victim died on the scene," Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez said investigators used a 3-D forensic imaging system called FARO to map the crime scene.
